About the Band
How They Got Here
Daily Cosmic was developed to fill a need for original music that is different than what can normally be found in the Mid-South. We aren't hard rock, metal, country or blues which is what many bands in the Memphis area tend to gravitate towards. Daily Cosmic is an amalgam of many genres but mostly tends to stay in the pop-rock soundscape. Our predominantly piano driven songs are written collectively and separately then workshopped to refine and polish the final sound. Many of the players have had former lives together in other musical group settings such as church choirs, cover bands and other original bands. This former experience lends itself well to creating a cohesive sound and workflow which contributes to a collective energy that resonates in the music. Positivity and energy is our calling card, and our goal is to leave you amped up and ready to get through the grind of life!

Jon Burnett has been a professional musician for over 25 years. Playing sideman to artists of all genres, he has also nurtured his passion for sound engineering both live and in the studio. “ This is the band I would put together in daydreams. True collaboration with other musicians who want to grow and make the best music they possibly can… it’s truly a dream come true!”
Charlie Hawks
Keys / Acoustic Guitar / Lead Vocal
Charlie has been performing and writing since the age of 12 in churches, schools, theaters, and clubs. He is an alumni of the The Consortium MMT, were he studied Producing and Songwriting with David Porter, and Millikin University were he studied piano and voice. He has been on many of the stages in L.A. and Memphis including Theater Memphis and Playhouse on the Square and has served as Music Director for multiple theater productions as well as being a Choir Director for Holy Trinity United Church of Christ. He is thrilled to be working with such and amazingly talented group of musicians!
Lauren DeRamus-Osman

Laurin DeRamus-Osman is a singer and voice actor based
in Memphis, Tennessee. Daily Cosmic marks her debut as a background vocalist, a bucket list dream come true. Laurin currently sings with Voices of Vision, the choir for Holy Trinity Community Church. Originally from Chicago,
Illinois, she has previously performed with local arts
organizations Chatterbox Audio Theatre and Blues City
Cultural Center.
Faydra Hewitt
Vocals
Faydra Hewitt started growing her vocal talent at the age of 3, recording herself singing on her Talkgirl (so 90s right?). She expanded her performances from her bedroom mirror to the school auditorium and eventually to statewide vocal competitions. A versitile vocalist, she can sing any genre of music, but she most enjoys classic R&B, pop, and dance music.
